The earlier house owners of this elegant home had prioritised type over practicality. Our process was to make this a house that works for each member of the household. On the bottom ground, each reception rooms have been painted in comfortable, impartial shades accented by daring, colour-blocked joinery. Throughout the day, the rooms present a cushty, calm house to work or loosen up. Come the night, the floor-to-ceiling curtains are drawn and the rooms grow to be a cocooning house for studying or entertaining. A joyous playroom has been created within the basement. On the higher flooring, the master suite and dressing room is now a comfortable, enveloping grown-up house, while the kids’s rooms have been wrapped in vigorous patterns and furnished with a mix of latest and vintage furnishings.
