A performing arts precinct has taken out the Tasmanian Structure Awards’ high honour, successful the state medal together with a string of different main awards.
The Helberg by Liminal Structure with WOHA was awarded the Tasmanian Architectural Medal on Saturday 11 June, together with the Alan C Walker Award for Public Structure, The Dirk Bolt Award for City Design, The Roy Sharrington Smith Award for Heritage, and The Alexander North Award for Inside Structure.
The jury stated the performing arts precinct expertly introduced collectively heritage and up to date components, together with complicated technical necessities. “The Hedberg is important not solely as a performing arts vacation spot, but additionally for efficiently stitching collectively its historic previous and for its distinctive public entry to the constructing,” the jury stated.
