An Island Vacation Home Inspired by Camping Under a Tarp

Positioned amongst the pure panorama of Minjerribah on North Stradbroke Island in Australia’s Queensland, the Baker Boys Seashore Home is a brand new trip residence by REFRESH*DESIGN. Constructed to accommodate three households and as much as 10 individuals, the retreat’s design offers nod to native campsites the place all of the cooking, residing, and sleeping occurs beneath a big tarp. The home encompasses a small footprint, with all of the important capabilities beneath a butterfly roof. The personal bed room and toilet areas are purposely stored small with the intention to maximize the communal area, which evokes trip vibes with views of the water and surrounding bush.

The inside is designed to really feel such as you’re exterior beneath a shelter, due to the clerestory home windows that make the roof seem to drift.
