“To the studs” renovation of an iconic 1971 New Formalist residence on a half-acre waterfront lot in Preston Hole (Dallas, Texas). This residence remained in principally authentic situation, permitting for a clean canvas of well-preserved particulars and room for creativeness. We paid cautious consideration to the unique architect’s design intent, in addition to studied pictures of the house from the Seventies to grasp how the house was embellished and functioned in its early years. Our aim was to protect key design components whereas making the house practical for right now. Our design resolution is a Maximalist inside design filled with patterns, textures, a mix of shiny and matte finishes, and massive influence statements. Impressed by Hollywood and Palm Springs glamour and locations across the globe, the areas are curated with heirloom items, Maestri originals, and delightful objects and authentic artwork to make the areas really feel as private as potential.
That is EXACTLY what this residence referred to as for. Nothing too severe, graphic and playful. Designed by Maestri Studio. (Images: Nathan Schroeder; Styling: Jenny O’Connor)
