The joint venture of principals Ryan Neiheiser and Xristina Argyros, structure agency Neiheiser Argyros splits time between two dwelling bases: London and Athens. Not too long ago the duo and group Eleni Vagianou, Alkisti Michelatou, Danae Haratsis took on a venture on the Greek facet, within the village of Evia.
The positioning overlooking the Euboean Sea held an present construction that had been designed by Greek architect Nikos HHadjimichalis within the Seventies. “Whereas the unique home was singularly targeted in the direction of the ocean, by reducing giant new openings into the unique construction and increasing house outdoor in all instructions, the range of the location—forest, grove, garden, meadow, and sea—is widely known,” the architects say. Drawing on the modernist particulars of the unique, the group lower into the construction in locations and expanded it in others, including two concrete archways to border views of the ocean and a one-story wing, perpendicular to the principle dwelling areas, for the non-public bedrooms, “tucked into the present slope of the panorama.”
