I am going to preserve this brief, however suffice it to say that the newest instance obtained me very heated.
To place a positive level on it: When you assume classical structure is a viable or sensible method of constructing for contemporary society at a big scale, you do not know something about structure.
But in some way this sub is full of posts every single day from uninformed customers that simply spew, “It was higher earlier than,” nonsense.
The place the hell are you going to place a mechanical unit in your classical constructing, hm? How are you going to afford the entire marble, limestone, or no matter different lovely (unsustainable, costly) stone you select? How about after the demand for that stone goes WAY up with none strategy to improve the provision?
In case your level is, “I really like classical structure & assume it is lovely,” I’ll wholeheartedly agree with you.
In case your level is, “I do not personally like modern structure,” that is cool.
In case your level is, “Architects are ruining society as a result of they refuse to return to the higher type as a result of they’re pretentious,” you are an fool.
Sorry if I broke any guidelines with this, however I believe each single architect on this sub will agree with me.
