Designed manner again in 2012 by Kolman Boye architects, Summerhouse Nauste is about within the unspoiled seaside panorama of Vega within the Norwegian archipelago, not removed from the polar circle. The personal residence options expansive home windows dealing with three instructions: ocean, mountains, and the moss-covered, rocky terrain. A pure ravine of sea-sand from the shore offers entry to the home.
The house is constructed from linseed-oil-treated pine with untreated birch skirting, frames, and divulges. From the outside, the wooden siding mirrors the muted tones of the encompassing panorama. The ethereal, open-plan interiors are whitewashed, and the furnishings, chosen by the resident, consists of Scandinavian classics from the likes of Børge Mogensen and Bernt Pedersen.
