The Beijing Metropolis Library in China, designed by Norwegian studio Snøhetta, includes a glass-lined construction punctuated by towering tree-like columns and rooms disguised as hills.

Commenters analysed the construction intently, with one characterising it as having a “feeling of extravagance” whereas additionally criticising it by suggesting: “It might solely imply large expenditure.”
