A Mid-Century Modern Inspired Apartment Overlooking the Water

The Oceana Retreat is a minimal residence situated in Bal Harbour, Florida, designed by Hino Studio. The purchasers, avid artwork collectors, needed to showcase their love for each Latin-American aptitude and European mid-century aesthetics. The design course is made proper from the start with the choice of a Gio Ponti type entry lobby flooring, which set the tone for the remainder of the residence.

One of the crucial hanging components of the design is the arched display that greets company as they stroll in. The display, manufactured from walnut slats, replaces a big wall that used to cowl the eating room, and creates an intimate but open format. The display extends to the bar in the lounge and is a seamless piece of millwork that ties your entire house collectively.

The designer performed round with arches all through the format, transitioning between the kitchen and eating room, including to the cohesive and chic really feel of the residence. Heat was added to the residence by using walnut paneling and flooring in key rooms equivalent to the first bed room and the purchasers’ workplace.
