House & Home – DIY: Create Your Own Rustic Menorah

This DIY Menorah is the last word Hanukkah present and vacation craft concept!

What You’ll Want:

• 2 items of 18″ x 4″ wooden
• Wooden glue
• Painter’s tape
• Wooden stain
• Rag or paintbrush
• Acrylic paint
• Drill
• Candleholders
• Candles

How To Create A Menorah:

1. To create an L-shaped base to your menorah, glue the lengthy edge of 1 piece of wooden to the underside face of the opposite piece.
2. As soon as the glue is dry, use painter’s tape to part off a 3⁄4″ strip on the backside.
3. Utilizing a rag or paintbrush, apply wooden stain to the highest portion. (You might want to use 2 or 3 coats to realize your required shade.) Let the stain dry, then fastidiously take away the tape.
4. Now, tape off the unstained portion and paint it with acrylic paint.
5. As soon as the paint is dry, fastidiously take away the painter’s tape.
6. With a drill outfitted with a bit the dimensions of your candleholders, drill 9 holes into the highest fringe of the menorah: one for every night time of Hanukkah, plus the shammash.
7. Set the candleholders into the holes (they need to match snugly) and add your candles.
