Structure studio Christ & Gantenbein has constructed a sculptural concrete bridge atop the Aare River in Aarau, which options 5 arches of varied widths.
The design of the 119-metre-long construction was impressed by the city’s stone buildings and medieval homes.
Commenters have been stuffed with reward, with one describing the construction as “elegant, strong and timeless” and one other praising the bridge’s “scrumptious crisp edges”.
Different tales on this week’s publication that fired up the feedback part included a pair of archways within the Netherlands created by algorithmic design and 3D printing, a copper-toned household home in Spain by Balzar Arquitectos and the Populous-designed MSG Sphere in Las Vegas.
