The award was certainly one of two prizes obtained by city design and panorama structure observe Reset City Design, the one New Zealand observe to obtain an award on the worldwide occasion in South Korea in early September.
Te Tau Papa o Avarua, The Avarua City Plan, was praised by judges for its local weather change mitigation and optimistic contribution to the broader Cook dinner Islands neighborhood. Reset’s second IFLA award, working with Romani Katoa, was for the event of Aitutaki’s first-ever spatial plan (above). “Te Papa Tau o Araura is a complete long-term technique for Aitutaki’s progress and growth,” says Falconer. “It describes the sort of place Aitutakians have stated they need and descriptions what is required to attain this.” The plan’s strategic course is designed to allow Aitutaki’s communities to work collectively in a resourceful, self-sufficient strategy to defend, handle and develop their atmosphere – each land and water.
