Gothic Cinqefoil Arch Construction : architecture

Thanks to everybody who responded to my earlier publish. After some analysis and a little bit of experimentation, I’ve derived a technique for geometrically setting up this inside arch, which I’ve found is known as a “Cinqefoil Arch”. This explicit one can also be Gothic.

To anybody tying to do that sooner or later:

1. After drawing your customary arch, divide that circle by some quantity. I did 20 diploma increments.

2. Inscribe a circle which touches two of the radial traces in addition to the outer arch. That is simple to do in cad with the “tan, tan, tan” circle command.

3. Trim all of the traces as wanted
